	Alumni Reunion 2007 To: Boys and Girls Homes Alumni From: Larry Hewett/Executive Vice President Re: 2007 Alumni Reunion Date: September 2007 Dear Alumni: It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 2007 Alumni Reunion weekend, October 13 & 14 on the campus of Boys and Girls Homes at Lake Waccamaw. It is always a pleasure to have members of the family come "home" and we sincerely hope you will be able to attend the 2007 reunion. This year's gathering will continue the spirit of the past couple of years as we come together sharing stories and enjoying the company of each other. Please review the information that follows and begin making your plans to attend. 2007 Alumni Reunion Dates: Saturday & Sunday, October 13 & 14 Location: Boys and Girls Homes of NC at Lake Waccamaw Schedule/Activities: Saturday, October 13 Registration 10:00 a.m. Pavilion or Exhibition/Arena Conference Center Socialize and visit 10:00 - 11:30 Lunch (B&GH cook staff prepared fried chicken - $6.00 per person) 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. Alumni Meeting / Campus Updates Following lunch - Note: Donations to support the Homes and Alumni relations will be appreciated! Campus Tours on your own Following lunch Dinner/Fellowship - on your own or with Mike Dixon 5:00 p.m. - until Location To Be Determined Sunday, October 14 - Worship Service 9:00 a.m. Chapel Lodging - Motels - Both the Best Western and Holiday Inn Express in Whiteville will work with us in reserving rooms for alumni wishing to stay overnight. Please contact the motel staff as soon as possible if you wish to reserve a room. Be sure to let them know you are with the Boys and Girls Homes Alumni. Best Western - 910-642-2378, Holiday Inn Express 910-641-0644. Lodging - Campus - Boys and Girls Homes will make the camping facilities at the arena/exhibition center available at no charge for those who wish to bring a camper, motor home, or tent. The arena has restrooms and showers. Please contact John Millican at 910-646-3083, ext. 275 for information about the camping facilities and to make arrangements. In the past, alumnus Mike Dixon has planned activities for alums following the campus meeting. For additional information contact Mike by telephone at 910-655-8591 or Email: dixo785@bellsouth.net so he can make the appropriate plans. Please include your family-spouses, significant others, children, grand-children in your plans for the weekend. Bring any special snacks/foods you might wish to eat or share (please note that being "spirit filled" is only allowed in the chapel on Sunday!), games, musical instruments, cds, videos, etc. to entertain with. Alumni monthly Donations As a small group of alumni we have decided to start a $10.00 per month donation per member starting on November 1, 2003. Our goal is $500.00 per month. Make out your check to The Boys and Girls Homes of NC,Inc. and mail it to PO Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450-0127, Write on the check " Alumni Gift ".
